Larry Loucks is a 23-year veteran of the I.T. industry. In the 80-90’s Larry functioned as a Novell, Microsoft and Cisco Engineer as well an Industry Certified Trainer for these technologies. He then architected and implemented a Business Process Re-Engineering solution for a subsidiary of Minolta Corp which he later served as the head of I.T. His work as an I.T. Manager for this Minolta Subsidiary vastly improved their business operations and allowed that company to cut Technology related costs by over $300,000 per year. After this role he acquired technical expertise in the areas of network security and protocol analysis.
Larry’s work as a consultant has helped businesses lower their I.T. costs while at the same time optimize their I.T. environments. This includes complete redesigns of corporate I.T. environments such as assisting companies in modifying and optimizing their I.T. infrastructure after merger, restructure or buyout to designing and testing network solutions for military radar installations.
7 years ago, after some market research, Larry saw the clear value that virtualization brings to any enterprise and began working with VMware as a contract VMware Certified Instructor, and later as one of their Staff Senior Consultants. He has performed numerous consulting engagements for VMware receiving stellar customer satisfaction completion sign off's. His work with VMware and other leading virtualization companies has allowed him to participate in virtualization projects ranging from small 1-2 server installations to working onsite at fortune 100 headquarters with hundreds of ESX servers and thousands of virtual machines.
After traveling for 5 years performing virtualization engagements Larry began to recognize that there is a lack of understanding regarding virtualization and it’s best practices in the industry.
