Virtualization University's VMWare ESX Training Videos can serve to supplement or replace the need for classroom training depending on your goals. Unfortunately VMware is one of very few companies in the IT industry who requires attendance to their class for certification. Many vendors (i.e. Microsoft and Cisco) allow people to be certified by passing their exams. This means People without the means, time or supplemental staffing to go offsite for weeks of training can self-study, use online courses or of course, attend certified training in their area in order to get certified. This is not the case with VMware.
If you desire VMware certification you must attend a VMware class in addition to passing the test. Virtualization University is a valuable compliment to VMware class-based training in that you can review many virtualization concepts, practices and procedures here as you prep for your test.
